COVID-19 Business Resources

Updated 10/7/2021

Shoreline City Hall has reopened to the public. City services are still being offered remotely by telephone, email, and online. Visit the City staff directory for individual staff contact information.

Latest updates:

  • Restaurants, bars, and indoor recreation will require proof of vaccination or negative test: Beginning October 25, people ages 12 and older will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result to enter certain indoor and outdoor events and establishments in King County. Learn more on King County's Vaccination Verification page.

  • King County Mask Order: Effective September 6 in King County, masks are required for everyone ages 5+ at outdoor events with 500 or more people, and continue to be required in public indoor spaces. Masks are strongly recommended (but not required) in crowded outdoor settings where people cannot remain at least 6 feet apart. For more information, please see the King County order and the Public Health Masking guidance page.
  • Governor Inslee announces expansion of statewide mask mandate: Effective Monday, August 23, the statewide mask mandate expanded to include vaccinated individuals in indoor settings. The mask mandate applies to most all public places across the state, including restaurants, grocery stores, malls and public-facing offices, regardless of vaccination status. Public Health - Seattle & King County already recommends everyone regardless of vaccination status to wear a mask in indoor public settings.

There are limited exceptions when face coverings won’t be required, such as office spaces not easily accessible to the public where individuals are vaccinated, and when working alone indoors or in a vehicle with no public face-to-face interaction. Small, private indoor gatherings where all attendees are vaccinated are also exempt. Learn more on the Governor's website.

  • Governor Inslee's Eviction Moratorium Bridge program: The bridge program is not an extension of the existing eviction moratorium, which expired June 30. Under the new order, new provisions will support renters and landlords until resources and programs become available. Learn more on the Governor's website.

  • King County Rental Assistance: King County has opened the next round of the Eviction Prevention and Rental Assistance Program (EPRAP). The program helps people experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19 and at risk of housing instability or homelessness. The Tenant Pool is now open for individuals or households needing rental assistance. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

Our friends at @NewBeginningsEndingDV have educational opportunities and activities planned for the entire month – make sure to follow them to see what’s coming up. The driving force behind this month-long event is love in our community. We recognize that systems of power, privilege, and violence create the environment for gender-based violence to thrive. But love in all of its many forms (care, service, activism, education, outreach, and much more) in our community can counteract and dismantle these systems. You can find out more at: www.newbegin.org #NBDVAM21 #NBLOVEINOURCOMMUNITY
